As we get closer and closer to the start of school…the preparations get a little more focused! A LITTLE, mind you!
I couldn’t stand my old book labels anymore and HAD to make some new ones…

Next, I got this ADORABLE clip art from Whimsy Workshop and knew I had to use it IMMEDIATELY! I bought these little stand up frames to make two portable classroom signs…one for ME to have by me while I work with small groups and one for students to use if they need to concentrate. I used to have two empty desks that I used as quiet zones (I could either MOVE students there or they could CHOOSE to move there) but now I have all my desks filled with students! I’m going to try this and see how it goes.
That same day I received my schedule in my inbox so it was time to make new schedule signs for my bulletin board/calendar area. They didn’t turn out QUITE how I wanted, but I’m too cheap to waste that awesome bright cardstock.

Finally…I am BEYOND excited for a new resource series that I have been working on and brainstorming and tweaking….and I got the first set finished. I can’t WAIT to challenge my students with these open ended challenges–and I knew I had to make them differentiated because of my VERY mixed ability class. See what you think!
