It's August's "Currently" Link Up!

It's time to link up again with Farley over at Oh Boy Fourth Grade! for her August "Currently"!  I had a hard time filling out some of these today . . . haven't been listening to much lately--but the TV has been on as my son uses our free month of NetFlix while he recovers from elbow surgery!  Many episodes of The Office, Psych, and Burn Notice have played in the background the last 48 hours!

Despite the fact that I claim to want to get healthier (I have walked THREE times this week), I cannot stop eating . . . see my "loving" below.  Sigh.  Why DO I do this to myself?

As I posted yesterday, I am starting to freak out that it's already August.  I have done NOTHING for school--NOTHING.  Time to get my groove back.  Now.

I need and want to get healthier.   I need to close my mouth and move my body!  Somehow I have to dig deep and start taking care of myself!

As for back to school . . . I have so many must haves!  I put my label maker on in hopes that it will help me get organized.  Like most of you, I am addicted to new school supplies--especially pens. (Where DO they all go, anyway?)  I did splurge on a few new things, but I'm sure my shopping isn't over yet.  I have invested in some new books for my classroom as well--watch for blog post reviews coming soon!

  2. If it makes you feel any better I am typing this at almost 1 am and EATING POPCORN!!!!! :)

    I've done SO much reading, thinking, researching this summer and now need to be planning!! I really need to make a rough outline of my year-a pacing guide.

    And I start in 10 days!!!!!!!!!!

  4. I hear you with the weight loss and getting healthier, I too am trying to change some of my daily habits and working out is definitely one of them, it's a comittment that I have to make to myself everyday. Keep believing you can do it!

  5. Hey there! I feel like my chocolate addiction has forced me to make friends with my trainer to keep me in check. I hated going, but then I joined CrossFit with another teacher and we go together. It makes it easier to stay motivated when we keep a schedule. See if you have any friends that will join you in a gym class of some sort (kick boxing, zumba, etc.). Friends make it soo much easier!

  6. I got in the BTS mood after a trip to the "dollar store." Although it was actually Poundland cause Im still in England, so I didnt think it would be a good idea to fill my luggage with school goodies. But if you need motivation to get in the school mindset I recommend retail therapy! Hope youre enjoying your summer :)
